we smile down at you
but hold back the laugher
you said you stood in the shadow of god
and it moved to make you blind
we crouch down next to you
and shelter you from the cold
you said you heard god’s voice
and an earthquake shook your soul
we whisper gently in your ear
and calm your racing heart
you said you touched the skin of god
and the burns will never fade
we extend our open palm
and cool the scars on your hands
you said you looked into the eyes of god
and your mind was never the same
we gaze through your disbelief
and guide you finally to peace
for those of you in the know, the dangerous sounding god is Bán, and the kinder voice is Red. it feels very weird to pair the two of them together like this, but honestly i think they could be a very powerful combination if they could get along.
